Day Kimball’s 医院志愿者 Program consists of more than 100 caring individuals who share their talents 和 time with the patients 和工作人员 of 戴金宝医院. Our volunteers are warm-hearted individuals, 也许退休, who enjoy the spirit 和 companionship of helping in the hospital setting, 和 are proud of their contribution to ensuring Day Kimball’s continued high-quality healthcare.

Our volunteers assist in many areas, performing a variety of valuable tasks. 机会包括:

临终关怀志愿者s are special individuals who assist a trusted 和 caring team working with the terminally ill 和 those who love them. These loving 和 compassionate individuals provide assistance during times of crisis, bereavement support to family members, 和 a shoulder to lean on when times are tough.

临终关怀和 Palliative Care of Northeastern Connecticut is a program of Day Kimball医疗保健. 临终关怀 volunteers are given extensive training in preparation for providing vital moral support 和 comfort to terminally ill patients 和 their families.

All volunteers must successfully complete the following steps:

Submit your application 和 two references, once received you will be called for an interview
Complete a criminal background check-expense covered by DKH
Attain medical clearance from our Employee Health Department including:
- Documentation of the COVID Vaccine Series

青年志愿者

青年志愿者 at 戴金宝医院 must be mature, independent, conscientious, 和 dependable. They must be good listeners 和 good communicators, 和 they must follow directions well.

Junior 志愿者 C和idates Must:

Be between the ages of 14 和 18, 和 have graduated ninth grade before entering the program
Complete the application 和 essay 和 provide immunization records, applications must be received by March 15, 2024
Attend one eight-hour training on either June 27 or June 28
Commit to a minimum of one eight-hour day per week for the months of July 和 August. Juniors must not be away for more than two weeks during the program
